Betty was an excellent cook and loved hosting large family gatherings. Her fresh birthday pies made the best gifts, and she always had cookies in the cookie jar. She is remembered by many as the Warrenton grade school cook for many years. Betty and Cecil enjoyed traveling, family time, and outdoor activities. Betty made Astor Place in Astoria her final home, where she received excellent, loving care. She was 91. A family memorial gathering is planned for this summer.
