Beverly Ann Malone Obituary

Palm Springs, CA - Beverly Ann Malone, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful friend, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2024, in Palm Desert, California. She was 79 years old.

Beverly was born on June 8, 1945, in Walla Walla, Washington, to Wallace and Beulah Raemhild. She was raised in the close-knit community of Naselle, Washington, where she graduated from Naselle High School and formed friendships and memories that stayed with her throughout her life. After graduation, Beverly struck out on her own and moved to Portland, Oregon, where she ultimately met the love of her life, Richard Malone. The two were married on April 22, 1972, beginning a devoted partnership that would span more than five decades.

Above all, Beverly was devoted to her family — including the many beloved pets who were always close by her side. She poured her heart into being present and supportive, and her quiet strength and warmth left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her home was a place of comfort and kindness, where family and friends always felt welcome.

A passionate sports fan, Beverly never missed an opportunity to cheer on her favorite teams —

especially the Washington Huskies. Game days were festive occasions filled with spirited commentary, great food, and unwavering purple and gold pride.

Despite a fear of flying, Beverly was a willing and eager traveler. In retirement, she and Rick spent considerable time exploring Europe — taking in its sights, sounds, and deep history. These adventures also gave Beverly the perfect opportunity to indulge her well-known sweet tooth, which she embraced with enthusiasm.

Beverly will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and loyalty, and for the way she made everyone feel seen and valued. Whether celebrating life's milestones or simply sharing quiet moments, she brought light and grace into every space she entered.

Beverly is survived by her husband Rick, her son Michael (Melissa), and her three cherished grandchildren: Wally, Birdie, and Kit. She is also lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Beulah Raemhild, and her brother, Gary Raemhild.

A graveside ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 31st, at 11:00 a.m. at Peaceful Hill Cemetery in Naselle, Washington, followed by a luncheon at Naselle Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Naselle Lutheran Church.
