Burl Keaoililani Kanoho Obituary

Seaside, OR - Burl Keaoililani Kanoho of Seaside passed away on February 4th, 2025 in Portland. He was born on December 27, 1971 on the island of Kaua'i, Hawai'i. Raised in Anahola, he moved his family to Oregon in 2008 making his home in Clatsop County.

An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and sports earning the nickname "Da Hammer" in football.. He was also a paniolo (Hawaiian Cowboy) entering into local rodeos as a roper in Hawai'i. Sharing that love, he raised his children to hunt and play sports.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Kanoho of Seaside, and son Keao (Jack Larson) Kanoho Jr of Astoria, daughters Ashley-Rose (Tim Ueland) Kanoho-Ueland and Anela Kanoho both of Warrenton and Chynoa-Jean Kanoho of Lihu'e, HI. Stepchildren, Dani (Anthony Campos) Benson of Beaverton and Tracy-Patrick Benson of Seaside. Brothers Rawlin Kanoho of Salem and Henry Kanoho Jr of Anahola, HI. Sister Debra Bonilla also of Anahola, HI. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Zander, Karli-Rose, Phoenix and Lorriann Kanoho-Ueland of Warrenton. Step-grandchildren Aria and Autumn of Beaverton.

He is preceded in death by his youngest son Cyrus James Kekoa Kanoho and parents Henry & Robynne Kanoho.

His Celebration of Life will be held on May 31, 2025 at the Netel Grange in Lewis and Clark at 12pm. This will be a potluck. Everyone is invited.
