Larry T. Ferrell Obituary

Mead, WA - Larry Thomas Ferrell, 81, of Mead, Washington, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025. He was born in Longview, Washington, on November 2, 1943, and later graduated from Warrenton High School. Though he lived in many places throughout his life, Larry always considered Oregon's north coast his hometown.

Larry and his beloved wife Carolyn owned and operated Ferrell's Burger Basket and Custard King for many years before retiring. In 2017, they relocated to Mead to be closer to their family and grandchildren. Carolyn preceded him in death after 42 years of marriage, along with his parents, Clifford (Guy) and Delpha Ferrell, his brothers Dick and Dan Ferrell, and his sister Mary Baker.

He is survived by his brother Lloyd and wife Louise Ferrell; his son and daughter-in-law Robert and Nancy Ferrell; his stepchildren: Molly and Allen Sexton, and Katie and Kevin Musorofiti. Larry was a proud grandfather to David and Michael Ferrell, and Ashley, Tim, and Justin Sexton, and a loving great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren. He is also remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A private graveside service will be held at Ocean View Cemetery in Warrenton at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider planting a tree or feeding the birds in Larry's memory.

Arrangements are entrusted to Riplinger Funeral Home of Spokane, Washington, and Caldwell's Luce-Layton Funeral Home in Astoria.
