Mardelle Clayton Obituary

Mardelle Cecelia Clayton, 87 years old. Went to Heaven on April 3, 2025. Born in Virginia Minnesota on the Iron Range, moved to Oregon at age 11.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dolan Clayton, her parents Ernest & Velora Kaisalahti. She graduated from Knappa High School, became a homemaker, her creative side saw many hobbies, cake decorating, seamstress and oil painting to list a few. She held many part time jobs and finished with Wickiup Water District. Friday Night Dinners, a good game of Rummy and her great grands will remember her as a Grandmother with the Bears.

She leaves her children Wanda (Greg) Riley, Duane (Carla) Clayton, Dianne (Dan) Bartlett. Sister Marilyn (Bruce) Ayer's. Grandchildren: Matthew (Nicole) Riley, Stephanie (Dave) Davis, Kaisa (Seth) Freeman, Kenny (Allison) Bartlett, Brandon (Andrea) Clayton, Darin (Mandy) Clayton. 14 great grandchildren.

Graveside service in Knappa Cemetery in Knappa OR, April 17th 10am. Cake and Coffee at the Svenson Senior Center.

Donations can be made to the Astoria Nordic Heritage Park.
