Marlene Ann Tetlow Obituary
Warrenton - Marlene Ann Tetlow, 93, passed away peacefully on April 15th in Warrenton, Oregon.
Marlene was born in Camden, NJ December 19,1932 to Elsie and Wayne Harris. She spent her youth in Hawaii, San Francisco, Oakland, and Astoria. Marlene graduated from Astoria High School in 1951. While in high school, she worked for the Liberty Theatre. After high school, Marlene worked for the phone company until her marriage to Bill on May 2, 1954. They spent the majority of their married life in Astoria, Oregon where they raised their 5 children. Marlene worked at Lewis and Clark school cafeteria. In 1982, they relocated to Seattle for Bill's work. They returned to Astoria in 2006.
Bill and Marlene loved to travel, especially cruising. They visited Europe, Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico and other various places in the US and Canada. Many of their travels included family members. Marlene always said "we are creating wonderful memories".
Marlene also loved to shop and had a wonderful sense of style well into her 90s. If there is a Chico's in heaven, Marlene is surely there, browsing the racks with a smile. Bill would be patiently waiting in a nearby chair for Marlene to model her outfits.
