Robert Frank Lamendola (Bob) Obituary
Redmond, OR - Robert "Bob" Frank Lamendola was born in Perth Amboy, NJ in 1947. He later moved with his mother, Elizabeth, to Seaside, Oregon where he graduated from Seaside High School, class of '65. Bob enlisted in the U.S. Navy and just before departing on his first tour, he met the love of his life, Sharon. They were happily married 56 years, a partnership built on love, humor, faith and unwavering devotion.
Throughout his life, Bob enjoyed helping others and bringing joy to all around him. He worked for AT&T (and all the name changes it went through) for 32 years. Bob was involved in the Catholic Church for over 40 years, including serving in the high school youth program at Our Lady of Victory in Seaside, where he helped to guide and encourage the youth to find the love of God. He had a great love of all the books and movies he could get his hands on, including many classic sci-fi and fantasy titles.
Bob is survived by his wife, Sharon, and their daughter, Misty. He is also survived by his grandchildren Charlee, Michael, Paul, Austin, Dawson and Madi and great grandchildren Molly, Malachi and Quinn. He was preceded in death by his sister Carol and daughter Tama.
The family takes comfort in Psalm 34: 17-18 and in the the poem "Footprints in the Sand"
"My precious child, I love you and will never leave you... When you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
