Longview - We are sad to announce, on September 30, 2025 Ronald (Ron) Edward Walker passed away. He was born on October 29, 1946 in Portland, Oregon to Hazel and Edward Walker.
Ron lived in the Alderbrook area in Astoria for the last 30 years. He graduated from Grant High School and Portland State University, majoring in music.
He was a full-time musician and music teacher. He played several instruments including: the Hammond Organ, flute, piano, drums, and the accordion. Also, he composed many musical pieces.
His other interests included film making, photography, and art. Many of his films have been shown at local public gatherings.
He leaves his dear sisters, Lorna Dennis of Portland, Oregon, and Patsy Walker of Keaau, Hawaii; and his partner, Linda Eddleston, including all of her family members. We all loved Ron and will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life service for Ron Walker will be held on November 15th, at 2:00 pm at the United Methodist Church. 214 N. Holladay Drive Seaside, Oregon. Ron's film, For the Love of Music, featuring many other local musicians, will be shown during the service.
