Mrs. Roseanne Marie Rogers Obituary

Vancouver, Wa - Roseanne (Wirkkala) Rogers passed away on Jan. 31, 2025 in Vancouver, WA from complications of dementia and heart disease. She was 74 years old.

Roseanne was born in Ilwaco, WA, to Fred and Helmie (Hoikka) Wirkkala on Aug. 26, 1950 and is survived by her husband Tim, her daughter Marcy, her 4 grandchildren and her sister Ramona Sagmiller.

Roseanne spent her childhood years between the family home in Naselle and Cougar where her father's logging operations (Salmon Creek Logging) were located. Her summers in Cougar were spent swimming and playing croquet with her younger sister and her cousins. She loved riding her Honda scooter everywhere she could. She graduated from Woodland High in 1968, after which she married her husband, Tim. They were married for 57 years.

Roseanne and Tim lived in Grays River until 1982 when Weyco Co. shut down. They moved to Aberdeen and a few years later to a sailboat before they settled on Harstine Island in Shelton, Wa. Roseanne worked at Yard Birds in Olympia as a cashier before switching to Capitol Medical Hospital as a housekeeper. She worked there for over 18 years. Her favorite job of all time though was being a mother and grandma. Spending time riding bikes, playing in the dirt, and raising chickens with them. Roseanne loved to go on drives everywhere but especially the Oregon Coast. They bought a camper trailer and spent the last 15 years camping everywhere they could.

Roseanne had a love of the Lord from an early age and always enjoyed going to Sunday school with her many cousins when in Naselle, and loved taking part in the children's programs. She was always smiling and had an infectious giggle.

Roseanne was the kindest, most loving person and will always be remembered for her generous heart which she shared with everyone

We will have a Celebration of Life on June 28th 1-4pm @Kelle Hall 1140 11th ave Longview, Wa 98632 Please RSVP to 360-521-6137
