William Peter Wage Obituary

Albany, Oregon - William P. Wage was born in Astoria, Oregon on February 23, 1931 and passed away peacefully May 11, 2025.

He attended and graduated school in Jewell, Oregon. He joined the Navy on October 1950 and served during the Korean War. His brother Eugene Wage served with him on the USS Hawkins.

He worked as a logger for most of his life, much of that time was for Crown Zellerbach until it was sold off in 1985. He retired from a lumber mill in Warrenton, Oregon in 1993.

He loved fishing, hiking, cross country skiing, camping and traveling. He loved Oregon history and he was a magnificent storyteller.

He is survived by daughters, Kelly Gould-Bergevin and Valerie Carroll and grandchildren, Jacob Rye, Sallie Duckworth, Tiffany Noone, Steven Bergevin, Nicole Gould, Samantha Gould, and Dalton Bergevin, and great grandchildren, Alecia Hernandez, Russell Duckworth, Dylan Long, Tyler Stacy, Rylie Duckworth, Sophie Hutchins, Finnley Noone, and Malachi Bergevin and a great great grandchild Bella Hernandez. He was preceded in death by his

wife Betty Wage, parents Arnie and Teresa Wage, sister Patricia Moore, brothers Gene and Tom Wage. His daughter, Patti Carroll, and grandson, James Rye.
